Order Cancellations and RESTOCKING FEE

You have 24 hours from time of your order to cancel without a 25% PERCENT RESTOCK FEE. Please keep in mind that once you've placed an order, we would have already taken the fish off the website to begin the shipping process.  If you decide to cancel beyond the 24 hour period, a 25% PERCENT RESTOCK / CANCELLATION FEE WILL APPLY.  PLEASE DO NOT ORDER IF YOU CANNOT COMMIT TO YOUR PURCHASE.  IN DOING SO, YOU WOULD HAVE TAKEN AWAY THE OPPORTUNITY FOR THE BETTA TO GO TO A POTENTIAL NEW HOME.

PLEASE BE MINDFUL OF YOUR LOCAL WEATHER WHEN ORDERING.  IN TIMES OF EXTREME WEATHER (HOT OR COLD), WE WILL CANCEL YOUR ORDER IF WE FEEL THAT IT IS NOT SAFE FOR THE FISH TO BE IN TRANSIT.  OVERNIGHT SHIPPING DOES NOT GUARANTEE THE SAFETY OF THE FISH EITHER. SHIPPING COSTS ARE NON-REFUNDABLE.

How long will it take for my fish to arrive once I place an order?

We ship all orders on Mondays and Tuesdays.  It should take normally 2-3 business days if we ship UPS 2nd Day Air.  This way, we reduce the likelihood of your fish getting stuck at a UPS / USPS facility over the weekend, which may result in an overly stressed and/or perhaps dead fish.  We highly recommend that customs use an overnight or next day shipping to ensure fast and safe arrival for your fish.  We also offer USPS Priority Mail shipping if you so choose.  Please keep in mind that WE ARE NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR ANY LOSSES OR DELAYS if you choose any service longer than Overnight or Next Day Shipping.

What shipping methods are available?

We highly suggest for customers to use UPS Next Day or USPS Overnight Shipping.  UPS 2nd Day as well as UPS Priority Mail is available if you choose to go that route.  We are based in Los Angeles so if you're looking to have us ship across country to New York, we would recommend that you use UPS 2nd Day Air at the very least to ensure safe delivery.

What if the fish / shrimp is DOA (Dead on Arrival)?

Fish death happens from time to time and unfortunately it's a part of the hobby.  We try to avoid this if we could by packaging the fish well and ship within optimal weather conditions.  If there happens to be DOA with our fish and you used next day / overnight shipping, we will refund the cost of the fish.  IF YOU USE USPS Priority or UPS 2nd Day, WE WILL NOT COVER DOA.  WE WILL COVER DOA FOR OVERNIGHT AND NEXT DAY SHIPPING ONLY.  We will need a picture of the fish in the bag. (PLEASE DO NOT OPEN THE BAG).  Unfortunately, shipping costs are non-refundable.

Is local pick up available?

Yes, local pick up is available if you're in the Southern California area.  Please contact us for an appointment during normal business hours M-F (8AM to 5PM) by texting us at 818-454-3894 if you're interested in picking up your fish instead of having us ship it.
